**CONTACT US FOR A SLIDESHOW OF PHOTOS! Check out every room in the whole house. Start the day on the porch with your coffee, and visit with our goldfinches and hummingbirds. If you must, you can get connected via our high-speed Internet access - our wireless router allows you to ''work'' from the porch as well as the rest of the house. Later on, relax on our beach, and take a paddle in our little yellow Keowee kayak or Yak board. Borrow a fishing rod (kids don't need a license) and catch a small-mouthed bass or perch. We'll leave some floats for the kids (including the adult variety) along with the beach chairs in the boathouse.
When you can tear yourself away from Long Pond, enjoy Harwich’s beautiful Nantucket Sound beaches (four miles south) or the Brewster flats on Cape Cod Bay (4 miles north). Head to the National Seashore (20 minutes by car). The bike path is nearby, too. You have two close-by choices for baseball as it was meant to be - the Cape Cod Baseball League sponsors teams in both Harwich and Brewster. Watch future major league stars in action! We’ll give you lots of ideas for restaurants, beaches, shopping and excursions. Shop for antiques, go to the Cape Playhouse, sample cuisine from fried clams to exquisite formal meals. Or, you may find that the charm of Long Pond is all you need to make your vacation complete!
To make your getaway a true vacation, WE will make up your beds; provide all the linens and towels you need (including beach towels) and leave plenty of beach chairs for you to use. Since we do the turnovers, our guests are allowed the opportunity to check in early, avoiding the worst of the Saturday traffic on the bridges. We'll meet you and show you the house. And to make the end of your vacation a little easier, we’ll wash the linens. You’ll go home refreshed, with room for souvenirs rather than a carload of dirty towels!
